Question

help solve with it complety

An electric cooler is installed in a perfectly insulated room from outside, as shown in the below Picture. The cooler consumes 800 watt of the electric power in full operation. Question: What do you think will happen to the average temperature of air in the room when top - lid stays open and there is no cooler set - up temperature? Will increase, decrease or remain the same? Why? If the cooler's set - up temperature is higher than the room temperature, how about the answer in Part.1? If the cooler's set - up temperature is lower than the room temperature, how about the answer in Part.1? If the top - lid is closed and the cooler is perfectly insulated, what are the answers for part.1, Part.2 and Part.3?"

Explanation / Answer

1. The average temperature of the surrounding ramins constant since no heat is extracted or rejected fron the cooler...........................(dQ=0)

2. now the temperature of the surrounding will increase since heat is being rejected from the cooler............(dQ=CdT) since dQ is positive hence temperature change must be positive or final temperature must be higher.........

3.now the temperature of the surrounding will decrease since heat is being extracted from the cooler ori in other words cold air is rejected into the surrounding.......................(-dQ=CdT) dQ is negative hence temperature change must be negative or final temperature must be lower.........

4.Now the temperature will remain constant since cooler is adiabatic hence no extraction or rejection of the heat.................................(dQ=0)
