The earth’s atmosphere supports a variety of gasses- oxygen, nitrogen and water vapour among others. This atmosphere forms the basis of the climate and the life support of the planet. The upper most part of the earth’s body itself is the lithosphere- the crust and the upper mantle (the upper mantle is from where magma is extruded out to form the crust). The Asthenosphere that lies below the lithosphere has higher viscosity that the lithosphere and is also weaker that the lithosphere.
Beneath the asthenosphere is the lower mantel which is rich in Iron and Magnesium and has even more dense material. The Outer core touches around 9.9 g/cubic centimetre while the Inner Core itself has a density of more than 12 g/cubic centimetres. The Hydrosphere consist of all surficial water bodies on the earths surface along with the clouds and the underground aquifers.
