After the layoff, he sensed diminished levels of satisfaction and affective commitment to the company. A recent survey of satisfaction levels indicated that Mr. Quintero's division scored in the lowest quartile in affective commitment. Note: Affective commitment indicates employee satisfaction with an organization when the employee feels attached to the organization because he/she wants to be with the organization.)
