Explanation / Answer

a. The authors used multiple questionnaires, which were based on Likert scale, to assess exercise efficacy and perceived wellness, and tested them to predict six attributes viz. physical, spiritual, intellectual, psychological, emotional and social wellness.

b. Yes, scales and surveys were used to collect data. The questions were designed to assess multiple dimensions of wellness, and asked the participants to respond by their acceptance to a set of given statements. These surveys were deliberately made easy to answer by using the Likert scale, so that students filled out their true response.

c. It was a Likert scale, which was measured from 1 to 6 and for another questionnaire from 1 to 5, where lower numbers express diagreement or dislike, and higher numbers express agreement to given statement. The authors also used the significance testing to arrive at their conclusions for the prediction of wellness attributes. The common measure of 0.05 significance level hypothesis test was used.

d. The test group were people who willingly opted for the course "Physical Acitivity & Wellness", which means they were not averse to the idea of wellness in the first place. Hence, we can say that the study was valid in terms of being conducted in a setting of like minded people who wanted to learn wellness. The objective of the survey was to establish whether planned curriculum can develop wellness among college students, and this measure was reliable because the authors had access to authentic data from these students under a controlled environment
