Question

Thomas Lamb: Attempt 1 Question 1 (1.25 points) Below is data loosely based on our Google Sheets exercise. We cross-reference hair color with whether a person's main country of origin is above or below the equator. In class, we constructed a contingency table to understand this kind of data better. It may help for you to do the same here. Ultimately, please answer the following: What is the percentage representation of those that have blonde hair given that they are from above the equator? Hair color Count Country Above Below Above Below Above Below Brown 100 53 Blonde 150 Brown Blonde Red Red 23 25

Explanation / Answer

We have to find here percentage representation of those that have blonde hair given that they are from above eqautor.

Now, total number of person's main country above the eqautor = (100+150+23)=273

& total number of person's that have blonde hair above the eqautor =150

Hence,  percentage representation of those that have blonde hair given that they are from above eqautor=(total number of person's main country that have blonde hair above the eqautor/total number of person's main country above the eqautor)*100

=(150/273)*100=0.5494505*100=54.94505%
