1. Enrollment = 80 + 40x, where x = # of years. 2. (77 - 50)/(25 - 10) = 27/15 = 9/5, so even Celcius degreeis 1.8 Fahrenheit degrees. F = 1.8C + b, where we can solvefor b by plugging a point into the equation and solving. 50 =1.8(10) + b, so b = 50 - 18 = 32. So F = 1.8C + 32. 3. If M is the minutes spent on math, and E on English, 90 =M + E. So, as a function of E, M = 90 - E.
