Let the amount invested in 9% scheme is (k)$ and in 11% scheme is (5000-k)$.

As given in the question-

((k*9)/100)+((5000-k)11/100)=487

550-((2k/100)=487

(k/50)=63

k=3150$

so the amount invested in 9% scheme is 3150$ and 11% scheme is 1850$.
