(Round your answer to 4 decimal places.) Probability b. Christine ends up failing the course. What is the probability that she had found a tutor? (Round youranswer to 4 decimal places.) Probability

Explanation / Answer

a) here we have to get the total probability of failing the exam

the probability of failing when get tutor = 0.54*0.14 = 0.0756

the probability of not geting tutor and failing = 0.46*0.44 = 0.2024

hence the total probability = 0.2780

b) it is given that she failed , to find the probability that she had tutor = 0.54*0.14/0.2780 = 0.2719
