Question
Is the WeightF variable for the female subjects normally distributed? First, make a histogram and a boxplot for the weight of the females in the study. Then check for, identify, and remove any major outliers. Be sure to briefly summarize the results of your outlier analysis and state which cases that you removed, if any. Then use both graphical techniques and a statistical test of hypothesis to answer the question. State your conclusion given the statistical evidence.
I know the outliners are 227 & 212 and I will be deleting them
here are photos to get the information
60 50 40 30 20 10 40.00 60.00 80.00 Weight F 100.00 Mean 60.60 Std. Dev. 9.616 N-260Explanation / Answer
The mean is at 60.6004.
When you remove the outliers the trimmed mean is not far at 59
The standard deviation of 9.61, which is not very high
The median is at 59, which is almost equal to the mean, indicating no skew in the distribution.
The skweness is wee bit due to the outlier, but that skewness will get removed after the removal of outliers.
