We are trying to find how much students know about responsible marketing and fair trade. There are 250 researchers and each will be conducting interviews with 5 respondents. We have a population size of 36,746 at Latrobe university and the sample size has been fixed to 1,250 students.
What is the best sampling method? Probability sampling (Simple, Systematic, Cluster or stratified sampling) or non-probability sampling (Convenience, purposive, quota, chain referral sampling) . Please explain your answer thoroughly. I do not want workings out, I want a written explanation of what method you think is best and why? please provide advantages and disadvantages. please not it does not have to be a long explanation, roughly 100 words is enough

Use probability sampling with simple random sampling technique to draw a sample form the population. Since the simple random sampling is a method or technique to draw a sample from the population, each and every unit in the population is considered as a sample and independent to each other.
That is, the student in the whole Latrobe university is independent to each other and has a chance to selected as a sample.
