Explanation / Answer
Answer:
Change: Change is a natural phenomena and it occurs naturally. Change brings the updation in life /work which are necessary with respect to passage of time. Change is not easy and it is not easily accepted by people because change brings problems as well and it is mainly seen as a major problem by the comfort zone people.
Three statements for your consideration.
Men are more likely to resist change than women: No, we disagree that men are more likely to resist the change than women. It is the natural behavior of either men or women, towards the change. Either men or women, who sees the major benefits with change, or who had large experience in change management, will like the changes, where as those who have less experience in change adaptation, highly busy in their routine works, will not willing to accept change will show more resistance towards the upcoming change. So change resistance depends upon the factors like time, energy, interest, benefits and past expertise. It does not depend on men or women. Response towards change is a genetic reason as well.
Women communicate better than men: Yes, we agree that women communicate better than men, because women have developed the skill of better communication over the time period than men. Men are generally less focus in change communication because men are already over engaged and they did not find time for more discussion and communications. Women are comparatively free and they do not carry tension or pressure, so they are mentally free and they willing to share more on changes as they more like the changes.
Older workers are more likely to resist change than younger workers: Yes, we agree that older workers are more likely to resists change than young workers because the old workers know that change calls for more energy and more time to understand the change and it tae more efforts to prepare ourself to manage the change and use it in our daily works. Since the old workers have less energy due to age, low motivation towards career growth, low technical competency to manage the change, they are more likely to resist the change than young workers, who have high energy, time and more technical competent to manage the change.
