Null HYpothesis : H0 : The number of rounds played per week is independent of the day os weeks they are played.

Alternative Hypothesis : Ha : The number of rounds played per week is dependent of the day os weeks they are played.

Significance leval alpha = 0.05

Here we will use the goodness of fit Chi - square test (indendence) Test .

The Observed table is given in the question. Now we will calculate the expected value which is

Expected value of rounds shall be played on each day = (124 + 74 + 104 + 98 + 120)/5 = 104

Value of CHi - square X2= 15.31

Here Degree of freedom = 5 -1 = 4 and alpha = 0.05

so critical value of chi-square X2cr = 9.488

Here, X2 > X2cr so we can reject the null hypothesis and can conclude that the number of rounds played per week is dependent on the day of week they are played.
