Question

The members of a population have been numbered 1-324. A sample of size 5 is to be taken from the population, using systematic random sampling. Complete parts (a) and (b) below. a. Apply the procedure in the popup to determine the sample (that is, the numbers corresponding to the members of the population that are included in the sample), using the provided random-number table. To use the random-number table, start at the two-digit number at the top left, read down the column, up the next, and so on. The value of k for this sample is 43828. (Type a whole number.)

Explanation / Answer

we cant draw a systematic sample as to draw a systematic sample our sampling interval (k) is 64 here ..but in this given random no table there is not so many random nos to do so...So what we can do to draw a sample of size 5 .....

so random no is 43 next is 28,and then 82,17,80...this is my a sample of size 5...we take the oservation in our sample whose serial no matched with our random no in this sample ..At first we should give the polpulation units a serial no..
