This is all the data given to me
Read the following brief report: Chance News 4.08 (5 may 1995 to 7 June 1995) Ask Marilyn Parade Magazine, 11 June, p 15. Marilyn vos Savant A reader writes: I read that a sex survey said the typical male has six sexual partners in his life and the typical female has two. Assuming the typical male is heterosexual, and since the number of males and females is approximately equal, how can this be true? After reading the report, suppose you are interested in designing a research study to examine whether men are more promiscuous than women. 1a. How would you define "promiscuous"? (e.g., having more than six lifetime sexual partners)Explanation / Answer
1a) Characterized by or involving indiscriminate mingling or association, especially having sexual relations with a number of partners on a casual basis.
1b) Null hypothesis H0 : Number of female sexual partners more than 6 for a man.(Heterosexual)
Alternative Hypothesis H1: Number of female sexual partners less than six for a man (Heterosexual)
2a) Precarious depends on number of different sexual partners. So in this case we are studying for a man.
Independent variable is female sexual partners
b) Dependent variable a man, because a man is called precarious only when number of female sexual partners is more than six, it implies man to be precarious depends on the number of female partners.
3) The scale of measurement used for the independent and dependent variable is interval-ratio scale.
