Explanation / Answer

In the workplace, there might be different powers at play which could include any of the above power styles. In my organization, legitimate power seems to be the most utilized type of power by the leaders and the management. There is also the use of expert power and reward power which is essentially the main outcome the entire organization is based upon.

The greatest impact can be based on either reward power or legitimate power which is what most organizations follow. Legitimate power seems to be the reason and the center of any centralized work structure and organization while reward power can be thought of as the most common type of power that is utilized by the organization in order to create satisfaction, sense of achievement and competition amongst the workforce.

To increase their own personal power in any organization, individuals need to make use of their expert power in order to differentiate themselves from other members of the same department. Usually, increasing power include its utilization and essentially effective utilization in the style of the individual, how they react to challenges, circumstances and their responsibilities that they need to carry out. Individuals with a certain power hold the responsibility to carry the organization and create changes which impact the organization in a positive way in the long run.
