(25%) Problem 2: Consider the circuit shown. Initially the switch is open. How does the current through bulbs A and B and the current through the battery charge when the switch is closed? Grade Summary Deductions 0% Potential 100% , Current through bulb A stays the same. Current through the battery increases. Current through bulb B increases. O Current through bulb A increases. Current through bulb Bincreases. Current through the battery stays the same O Current through bulb A decreases Current through bulb B ncrease. Current throughthe battery stays the same. O All currents increase. OCurrent through bulb A stays the same. Current through bulb B increases. Current through the battery stays the Submissions Attempts remaining: 4 (25% per attempt) detailed view Submit I give up!Explanation / Answer
Initially when the switch is open no current will flow through the bulb B because it is an open circuit . When the switch is closed , the current through the bulb A is decreased when switch closes and through bulb B increases while current through the battery remains the same since it is a voltage source. KCL can be applied at battery irrespective of the bulb B whatever current will go outside the battery will come inside the battery so current through battery will be the same.
The third option is correct alternative
