These questions are about Business Communication class. The topic is "Bad news". There is no case about the following questions

1) What is your reaction to the method used to fire the employees? How would you have handled such a situation and why?

2) Find an article from a credible author and source (use your evaluation techniques!) which addresses how to deliver bad news and summarize the article for your colleagues. How does this article compare/contrast with the analyses and techniques offered in Chapter #6. Be specific. As always, be sure to include the article's APA citation in correct format for the rest of the class.

3) Identify a real situation from your experience when you had to share bad news. Were you successful in accomplishing potentially incompatible goals of sharing the news clearly and maintaining good will? If so, how did you accomplish it? If not, what would you have changed based on what you know now.

Explanation / Answer

1-The method used by employer in firing an employee is not proper and unethical also. They just inform the employee that they are firing. This is not the proper way to communicate about firing. I would have called the employee and tell them the situation my organization is going on and why it was necessity for me to fire that employee. A degree of compassion should be there.
