Where,
r = (Hospital) Gross Death rate
n = Number of Deaths of Inpatients in a Period
t = Number of Discharges ( Including Deaths ) in the Same Period

NET DEATH RATE
Total # of deaths minus deaths under 48 hours (including NB)

Total # of discharges minus deaths under 48 hours (including NB)

=[(411-90)]/(23281-90)

= 321/231911

= 0.138%

c) Maternal death rate

(No of Fetal deaths during given period*1000)/(Total number of live births and fetal deaths during the period)

= 16000/1590

=10.06

F) newborn Death rate:

(Number of infant deaths)*1000/ Total number of live births

=16*1000/1574

= 10.16
