Question
Every year thousands of children around the country are eaten by clowns. Scientists may have discovered a new drug that causes these clowns to stop eating children and start eating fruits and vegetables. We tested the drug on clowns being held in captivity and recorded the number of children they ate after being on the drug for a week. ('Clowns' worksheet). We know that on average typical clowns eat about 7 children per week. Was there any significant difference in the clowns eating habits?
What type of test would we use to find this answer? (one sample t-test, dependent sample t-test, independent sample t-test)
Explanation / Answer
Ans:
As,we have measured one sample of clowns(in terms of number of children they ate) and have compared with the reference or typical value.
