Laws enforced of EEOC prohibits employers from making any employment policies that make a negative impact upon candidates on the basis of race, religion , gender and age among many other factors. Though, it does not talk about the educational qualification requirement of the job. But, a test conducted for the job profile must be in accordance with the job requirements as the law states. Thus, employer posting the educational qualification of high school diploma for the given job profile, must justify the same and prove that no any law is violated. In a scenario of improper justification, it will be considered as a discriminatory practice.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission- performs to prevent and minimize workplace harassments. It works to promote good and positive work environment at the work place, nurture strong relations among workers and owners to the firm. But it do not involve in fixation of any regulations, rules for employment, any kind of job discription or specification. All it is take care of by the employer, they fix the qualification requirements, skills and experience etc, but not fix by EEOC. It works to minimize discrimination at work places, provide equal opportunities to all, do not deny the opportunities to qualified people at large.
Thus an employer have complete freedom to fix the qualifications, experience, expertise, skill requirements etc to any given position or job. Once they fix, the people who wish to apply for the post has to comply or has to possess all the qualifications and requirements. If an employer fix any requirements, it mean that the people who have the specified qualification, they only can perform the work and having eligibility. To perform any professional activities, education qualification also important along with prior experienc in the same field. For example: I am a management student completed Business Administration, if I applied for a post of Technical supporter or Quality assessment, it makes no sense. If the employer announce that, Polytechnic is required qualification, I do not possess the qualification. Hence, I can not arise my voice it is a kind of discrimination. I should consider it as the honor to those people who have same qualification.
