A tally was made of the number of times each color of car was used by criminals as bank robbery getaway cars. Which measure of central tendency should the police use to determine which color is the favorite color of the bank robbers? Explain why you chose the particular measure of central tendency (1 point) 4. A statistics quiz grades was posted in D2L. The class did very well. All students taking the test scored over 75. Unfortunately, 4 students were absent and the computer listed their scores as 0 until the quiz is taken. Assuming that no score repeated more times than the O's, what measure of central tendency would most likely give the best representation of this data?. Explain why you chose the particular measure of central tendency. (2 points) Note: Please type your answers, but make sure that your work is neat and legible. Submit in Dropbox in D2L. Explanation / Answer

2. (a) % of males who reported binge drinking = (50/90) * 100% = 55.56%
(b) % of females who drank at least 1 jar of alcohol = (10/80) * 100% = 12.5%
(c) Proportion of students who drank at least 1 jar of alcohol = ((40 + 10)/(90 + 80)) * 100% = 0.2941 = 29.41%

3. To determine which color is the favorite color, the police should use Mode.
This is because the variable "color" is a nominal variable and, as a result, the data is categorical. Mode is mainly used when we are dealing with non-numerical values and these values don't have any ordering.

4. We used Median here in order to give the best representation of the data.
Median gives us the point at which half of the scores are below and half of the scores are above. As a result, it is used with data containing outliers or extreme values. In this data, we have 4 extreme values (4 students scoring 0's). Hence, Median is the suitable measure of central tendency.
