Question
There is a question in chegg's Technical Mathematics 6e Book, chapter 6.3 question#7 that is different from my text book? Can this be fixed or corrected? posting a picture of real math problem.
Explanation / Answer
7.
Thats like taking out surface area of walls and subtractign door+window +bb area
= 2(40*36+22*36+40*22) - 1375
= 6224 -1375
= 4849 ft^2
Per sqft cost is 8.5 per square yard
1 ft is 1/3 yard
9sqft is therefore area of 1 yd^2
So, 9ft^2 takes $8.5
So, 1ft^2 takes $8.5/9
Now, total cost= 4849 * cost per square yard
= 4849 *(8.5/9)
= $4579.611
