Case 2 Basma (formerly Patricia), a recent convert to Islam, alleges that she was terminated from her job as a metal punch operator in a metal fabrication plant because of her religion (Islam). a) Ken isnt involved in religious descrimination. As working in loose clothes in the factory near machinery is really fatal. So she can only work there in the attire which company says to wear. Basma can come to the factory in hijab and there she can change her clothes and could work in the attire which company allows. And at the time of going back home she can again go back in hijab. This is the simple way to work.

Ken was totally fair as he also tried to look for other options for Basma but unfortunately none of them were suiting her.

b) No it was not a reasonable religious accomodation for Basma because as per safety it was required to work in the attire company has approved. And also it was very fatal for Basma to work in hijab as many accident were also met with the machinery due to loose fitting clothes. She could come to the factory in Hijab but can work there in the company attire.
