Belinda was very close to her father. She claims that he always made her feel safe. Belinda’s father always wore “Old Spice” cologne. Today every time she smells the scent of “Old Spice” cologne, she develops a pleasant feeling of warmth and comfort.

This is very much example of classical conditioning. Here warmth and comfort which are feelings have replaced saliva of dog in Pavlov's experiment.Since Belinda is close to her father she likes whatever her father wears or does.When she used tp be with her father, the Old spice scent which her father wore was uncondtitioned stimulis and the safe feeling she had with her father was unconditional response. Her mind must have got fixed to this old spice scent. So hence even when her father wasn't used to be around the scent of old spice which she had was not conditioned stimulus and she immediately felt warmth, closeness was conditional response.
