David Marr treated vision as an information processing system. He brought out the idea that one must understand information processing systems at three distinct, complementary levels of analysis.This idea is known in cognitive science as Marr's Tri-Level Hypothesis:

The nature and nurture debate in psychology is concerned with behavior that are a product of either inherited or acquired characteristics.Nature is influenced by genetic inheritance and other biological factors where as the nurture is the influence of extarnal factors like environment,exposure,learning etc.According to nature theory like eye color, hair color, ear size, height our personality, intelligence, sexual orientation, likes and dislikes are genetically coded in our DNA.According to some researchers criminal acts, tendency to divorce and aggressive behavior causing abuse can be justified by the "behavioral genes" and also there may be an existing "gay gene", which explains that gays are actually born that way.According to nurture theory environmental factors are the real origins of our behavior. This includes the use of conditioning in order to induce a new behavior to a child, or alter an unlikely behavior being shown by the child.But basically mind and body work together. For example, stress can cause anxiety, which then triggers the autonomic nervous system and hormones such as epinephrine to speed up the heart rate and to increase the blood pressure and the amount of sweating. Stress can also cause muscle tension, leading to pain in the neck, back, head, or elsewhere.
Central pattern generators are subject to extensive neuromodulation. This generates flexibility in the rhythmic outputs of these neural networks and ultimately results in behavioral flexibility through an expanded motor repertoire.
