as we grow older our thought process becomes more organised, sensible and differentiated. the schmas and the inner teendencies are more operated in an adult. adults can distinguish properly between ego and object. this level of thinking is known as the secondary thinking. two major distinctions in this are formal operational thinking and postformal thinking.
being a college student the best example of formal operational learning is that we can think logically from our performance in our acaemics as well as other fields our possibility of being successful or the future possible paths can be thought and planned of. thinking logically about this is the best solution to it as this may result in the logical solution of either working hard and increasing the performance level so as to become mor successful. it is a more realistic way looking at a problem and handling it with possible solutions.
