I currently am working on my last semester at San Jose State University as a psychology major. However, I am now interested in pursing a masters in Computer Sceince from Northeastern university san jose. I Need to state WHAT INSPIRED me? How is psychology related to computer sceince? What skill sets of psychology will help me advance towards acheiving a masters computer science? I have not taken a computer sceince classes at all. This program that I am applying to is a align bridge program for masters in computer science. I have taken a research methods class while completing my undergrad in which we work with SPSS software. I think itll be interesting to use my knowledge towards building some sort of medical app to help patients. Need to state my career goal (cs programmer), and why I chose Northeastern university. Expected outcomes and benefits from align masters in computer sceince program at northeastern university silicon valley.

Psychology is the study of mind and behaviour .Computer science encompassing all modern major programming (object oriented languages) is built upon mimicking the human characteristics,behavior patterns,way of improving the way they work. Human learn,inherit,and have their own basic characteristics. Human when encountered with situations,issues or any such incidence in their lives,try to solve it by pinpointing to the root cause of this issue.

Any good computer program is built in such a way that it has mechanism to pinpoint the root cause of breakdown of the program (by raising exception which are caught and shown to the end user,so that they can recover from the crash)

Thus we can say Psycholigy and computer science are interelated.

As you have explained that you are sa Psychology student and want to make career in Computer science. I think you can use your psychological knowledge in Computer science(in building sort of medical app,as you have mentioned)

You can help People save lives by writing usable software to control ultrasounds,MRIs and new medical technologies. You can also develop software for rehabilitation technogy using your Psychological knowledge.
