Explanation / Answer
Eating disorder also called as anorexia nervosa , causing people to obsess about their weight and what they eat. It could be charecterised by distorted body image and the unwarranted fear of being over weight.
Common symptoms shown by the patients are trying to bring their weight below normal anyhow by starvation or food controlling and too much exercises .Allmost peoples of all ages can be effected by this disease but high chances are there for the age group of 15 to 40. Childrens below the mentioned ages are also there but percentages are low and after 40 also peoples started taking balanced diet but exceptions are there.
Causes are unclear but the society in which the belongs to has an effect with the immidiate guardians also incases of childrens who think that maintaing body shapes are much more important than eating the balanced diet. Fast lives also affects the balanced diet as peoples have no time to take proper diets and thats become a habit which effects the eating behaviour. This disease is irrespective of the genders but statistics shown that womens are more prone tothis disease than the men as they generally dont want to accept the older ages and obesity kind of problems. They feel better by maintaining their body shapes only in the society but which hampers their body also internally.
Treatments are talk therapy and cognitive therapy in severe cases through which patient should be bring into normal balanced diet system . It is time taking process because mind has an effect on the body and as the mind changes slowly then only it will start the process of accepting the balanced diet into it.
