Apple, the largest information technology company in terms of revenue, is based out of USA and has been widely successful in the industry because of their unique approach towards business which has given them a position and a brand value. The organization has mastered in consumer electronic products and services and they only do not sell, they also design and develop their products and services.
The companies biggest competitors are Samsung, Blackberry, Sony, etc. and as the organization does not limit its products to one sphere only, hence they have other competitors in different fields too but the organizations mentioned are their close rivals. I feel Samsung has been the most competitive opponent and they have had some very close encounters in the past and even today they walk neck to neck noy giving an inch to the other. Samsung has around 45 million followers in Facebook, around 13 million in Twitter and more than 5 million followers in Instagram. They use the social media channels quite effectively because that is the trend today and marketing has become easy because of social media therefore the frequency of posts are very high as they want the activity up.
They post contents like upcoming products, best selling products, specifications of the products, stories and posts about consumers and the market performance of the organization. They interact with the customer base by posting replies to their queries and that too very fast and detailed, they also wish their customers or rather followers on special occasions and events. I would kiek to recommend Samsung that they are doing a good job and in order to be better they need identify the weakness of apple and use that as an opportunity to gain better business over Apple. Apple is a very limited audience product and Samsung can actually use this limitation of Apple as their weapon to penetrate and attract more consumers which will give them a competitive advantage over Apple.
