A Utilitarian is a person with a view that the best action or decision in a particular situation is the one that brings most advantages to the most people. So, a Utilitarian may like that a single person is framed and killed, so that many other innocent people can be saved.
However, I disagree to this approach. Although the person is highly disliked by others, the magistrate has no right to frame him. That is itself a crime. The person who is being framed, is another human being, who has a family. He is someone's father, and someone's husband. Just because people dislike him, is no reason that he should be framed. The law department should be capable of handling such mobs. It should be able to declare curfew and seize the area, so that no one gets killed. Framing an innocent person can NEVER be acceptable, be it under any sitiuation.
