It has come to notice that employess have been abusing the current telework policy in an effort to add extra time to flex schedule, skipping lunch hours and adding time to weekly telework day instead of one day telework, sometimes half day or extra full day to scheduled telework day away from office. This misuse and manupulation of flex time scheduling is causing major challenges for payroll office that has to confirm hours worked.The management has trouble in reconfiguring office work schedules at the last minute to decide the correct compensation for employees who are taking extra days out.
The new telework policy includes no request for the change in work schdule shall be approved by the management before looking at all the requests of all employees and grant any request. Management make every effort to accomodate employees preferences but not at the cost of troubling company or managment. Skipping lunch hours for compensating the work is not permisable. Employees are recommended to adhere to the new teleworking policy.
