Interview is one of the quantitative method used to collect and analyzing data in a report. If properly conducted it offers a very reliable primary source of data in a research. Having learnt of a new work flow system, I selected to interview the senior most personnel as she is the one entitled with implementation, at the interview stage the first thing is preparing the interviewee, where questions, time frame and modality is stated and then the structured question- Open- ended are posed.

Notes
The old s/stem had some gaps in it, for instance it did not offer quality response to the emergency cases. It was also impossible to have the data of the nurses followed with ease. These shortcomings necessitated the need for a new way of doing things. The new system was proposed and piloted in this department by some of the newly hired nurses. Accordingly, it gave promising results. The new system has the following advantages, it gives an easier platform of communication of the work plan, agendas, goals and challenges to the nursing career on a computer enabled program. As such emergency cases can be handled more precisely and in the right time. However, the new system is cumbered by new challenges especially the implementation stage. For example, the department has old nurses and shifting to the new system is a mere mess. In most cases implementation was hindered by the integration factor to the main hospital system. This is because any department must cohere to the overall system. As a matter of fact integration is an expensive pursuit. To that effect the implementation process took a whole twelve months to ensure complete integration and user familiarization was complete. Most important, a lot of expertise was needed to marry the new system to the hospital system. Among the steps included training of both the senior nurses on some special programs, all nurses were also invited to training workshops that sensitized the need of the new system. Through interaction and training, recommendations were invited from the users- nurses, this ensured that the nurses formed part of the new system and as such it was easily embraced.
