Ans: Since, the generation time also known as the division time is the time required for a population of cells to double in number. It is also defined as the time required for a generation of individual to be born and to attain sexual maturity and to reproduce. Catfish becomes sexually mature at 3 years of age. Based on the above calculations harvesting of the catfishes should be done from the age of 3 i.e., after two to three years when the catfish reach about 1 pound they can be harvested.
