Bronchial carcinoma is the most common malignant
tumour worldwide, with around 1.4 million deaths
annually.
Aetiological factors include:
cigarette smoking is the main cause of bronchial asthma.
Environmental: radon exposure, asbestos, polycyclic
aromatic hydrocarbons and ionizing radiation.
Occupational exposure to arsenic, chromium, nickel,
petroleum products and oils
Host factors: pre-existing lung disease such as
pulmonary fibrosis; HIV infection; genetic factors.

Telehealth services comprises of health care services provided to patient from a distance instead of face to face communication. consultation can be provided over phone and internet.
US have a well developed telemedication department. many private health insurance companies have started to cover telemedicine. Also due to presence of good internet and phone connectivity services can be given easily and access to remote area is also possible. US have started witenessing many application and software for telemedicine.
In contrast, India do not such a developed telemedicine service. Very few healthcare companies provide with telemedicine. The public is not well aware about the telemedicine services. Medical insurance and medi claim companies do not cover the telemedicine services. another problem is poor connectivity through phone and internet. this makes patient access over the phone or internet very difficult. remote areas can not be covered through telemedicine. Privacy also becomes hard to maintain.
But India is slowly and gradually witnessing the change in telehealth care. Companies like apollo and TATA have started providing telemedicine.
