1. Is there a difference between the areas and/or lobes of the cerebrum considering function?
2. Would speech be affected with damage to the left hemisphere? Why or why not. Be sure to detail your answer.
3. Describe the arterial supply of the cerebrum. Which blood vessel might be the culprit in the damage to the left hemisphere ?
Explanation / Answer
Two cerebral hemisphere are same in structure but there is differance in there functional activity.
Speech are i.e,broca's area formed by pars triangularis and pars orbicularis af anterior frontal gyrus ( broadman area's 44 and 45 ) damage to middle cerebral artery leads to aphasia
Blood supply
Anterior cerebral artery -supply ant -medial surface of brain from frobtal lobe to ant.parietal lobe
