Total of 200 young adults who are aged 20 to 35, married and resided in Malaysia have participated in this study. All the participants of this study were recruited via the convenient sampling method such as through mass email, social network, and direct contact. To ensure the research objectives be fulfilled, all the participants have to be married and lived together under the same roof for at least 3 years. Also, all the participants must have a good English literature or at least been speaking English for more than five years because the questionnaire forms in English. Other than that, all the participants are voluntarily on completing the questionnaire without receiving any rewards.

            The questionnaire has been designed by using Monkey survey which accessible through any gadgets that can access a browser. All the participants have to complete a set of paper and online questionnaire which have three sections: (i) Demographic survey, (ii) Attachment orientation questionnaire and (iii) Marital satisfaction questionnaire. The key variables that I would like to determine are (a) To analyze the correlation between attachment orientation and marital satisfaction, and (b) to investigate which attachment orientation could lead to higher marital satisfaction in a relationship.

Explanation / Answer

A total of 200 married people, aged between 20 to 35 years, who reside in Malaysia have participated in this study. All these participants were selected using convenient sampling methods such as mass e-mails, social networks, and direct contacts. To ensure the fulfillment of the research objectives, all the married participants are required to live under the same roof for at least 3 years. It is also required that all the participants have a good knowledge of the English language or at least have been speaking English for more than 5 years because the questionnaire is created in English. Other than this, all the participants voluntarily complete the questionnaire without receiving any rewards.

The questionnaire has been designed using SurveyMonkey, an online survey tool, which works on any gadget that has access to a browser. All the participants are required to complete a set of print and online questionnaires which have three sections: (i) Demographic survey, (ii) Attachment orientation questionnaire, and (iii) Marital satisfaction questionnaire. The key variables that I would like to determine from this study are (a) To analyze the correlation between attachment orientation and marital satisfaction, and (b) To investigate which attachment orientation could lead to a higher marital satisfaction in a relationship.
