Question

Create your own experiment (10points). 1. Identify a question of interest 1. What are the factors this question addresses? 2. Formulate an explanation (your hypothesis) that answers this question. 1. Describe the causal relationship that you think exists between these two factors. Ex. Factor 1 causes an increase/decrease/change in Eactor 2 3. Describe the method(s) you would use to conduct a study that addresses this question. 1. Who would your participants be? 2. What method would you use to collect data? 3. What is the Independent Variable in your study (variable that is manipulated) 4. What is the Dependent Variable in your study (variable that is being measured; outcome variable) 4. Describe what the resuits would be if they were to support your hypothesis 5. Would this research be theoretical research or applied research?

Explanation / Answer

1. Question of interest - Does visual learning help in increasing test scores of students.

2. Hypothesis -

The Hypothesis seeks to examine the relationship between visual learning and the test scores of the students. Through this experiment we have to find out if factor 1 (visual learning) causes an increase in factor 2 (test scores).

3. Method used - Experimental Method

The sample group will be divided into two groups of 50 students each.

Group 1 (Experimental Group): These students will be taught a topic through visual stimuli.

Group 2 (Control Group): These students will be taught the same topic using traditional teaching technique.

Afterwards, both groups would be given a test about the topic taught. The test scores would be compared later.

4. Results: Test scores of Group 1 (experimental Group) would be higher than the test scores of Group 2 (control group), therefore, we retain our hypothesis.

5. Applied Research.
