Explanation / Answer

As mentioned I would anser no. 2 only.

Conditioning comes under behavioural psychology. It is a theory which is reaction or response to an object or an event which can be modified by learning or conditioning. The most well known theories are classical an operant conditioning. Classical conditioning by Ivan Pavlov describes about use of reinforcemnt to bring the response, it is more about stimuli and response. While operant conditioning - By Skinner focuses on punishment or award to get the desired response.

I would take the example of Operant conditioning. When i was in my school days, I was an average student, I alaways had more interest in ideas, art, languages. Hence I took, - Arts German langauge in my college. My relatives were much in opposition since they wanted me to be an engineer or doctor. So when I went to college I felt very nice in that environment, esp. learning foreign language was a super thing. I also had pressure to score well to prove to my relatieves. So here in this case both of it worked Pressure of scoldings (punishment) and Language ability to able to do well (Award/Reinforcement). And I scored 96/100 in my board exam. So hence an average student got very inspired due to praise around, when she saw that her parents were also praised for the same :). Then I started taking taking interest into whichever subject that came across, including statistics (I was not good at math in school). Hence reward helps in getting desirable behaviour, so does the punishment
