Explanation / Answer

Question 1) Helson's idea of the social clock suggests that one adapts to past and current stimuli and takes this level as a frame of reference therefore you have to answer this question in your opinion as to what are your goals to accomplish at different phases/age in your life in the future and if you are unsuccessful in doing so will that make you happy or sad? Its a question based on realistic thought of the student/person who is attempting the question therefore I suggest you to provide me with more information on that and I can help you construct a suitable answer.

Question 2) Psychosurgery as we know is a neurosurgical treatment for mental disorders where surgery is performed on certain parts of the brain tissues to alter or change their structure like lobotomy, leucotomy etc to supress or enhance the mental functions which are triggered by that particular part of the brain and even though not the most famous methods of treating mental illnesses has given way to psychotropic druga which are certain chemicals found to have a similar effect on the individual thereby controlling or balancing his or her moods and behaviour. My personal view is that yes these drugs do help in treatment but only contribute to 30% and the remaining 70% is about the level of understanding the disorder and counseling given to the patient which has a far better effect so much so that eventually the doage of drugs can be tapered and counseling, psychotherapy can help.
