(2) Research the violence against women in the maquiladora town of Juarez.

After the increased violence on women, there have been rise in movements against the increased injustice. There has been a series of murder carried out against women in Mexico, where almost every day rapes or murder cases came up. For almost nine months there were no new bodies discovered, and suddenly on 6th November, a person found the body of a woman in a ditch, followed by seven more dead women. And they arrested some drivers who had confessed of the murders. But real killers had never been caught. Mexico’s 4th largest city had been nick named as “the capital of murdered women.” Most of the factory women are being targeted. Even some of the scores are missing about what has happened to many missing women. This has led to outrage among women, with demand against Violence against women. Even though there has been increased awareness about this and seemingly increasing action, coordinated campaigns have not been seen against women workers. There have not been many change since in plans implemented by the police. Even today, the women workers are carrying out their late night shifts without security by the police. And this has led to increased fear among people. Even after increasing cases and protests, such as the one in El Paso, there has not been increasing action by the police.
