Identity foreclosure: Here the adolescent wants to commit to certain roles and responsibility to please other. For instance, after my tenth, I gave the whole authority of choosing my major to my parents to choose it.

Identity moratorium: Here the adolescent is in crisis and is willing to explore options but did not make a choice. For instance, I wanted to play games when it was 13 years old but it was very hard to choose between football and cricket.

Identity achievement: Here the person has chosen a role according to his/her status. Example, I choose a major in commerce for my degree because I was good at math.
