For companies operating in a MNC/ global market, some business writing or documents/ contracts actually need more than translation – that is localization. It is required because of differences in the way local/ national/ regional businesses operate and in the way the people of respective country think and process it further. Apart, since languages differ, understanding differs in some contexts. Same writing might not be convenient to everyone. Hence, it is of paramount importance.

Tips:

In order to make business writing appropriate for an international audience:

Make yourself aware of target audience. Learn/ understand and write which is better communicable to a country specific kind of language/ vocabulary etc. to that audience finds it not only familiar but convenient to right interpret. Else any mid understanding could cost bad relationships and loss of millions of dollars. Avoid using ambiguous language and terminologies.

Avoid:

Standard punctuation in many foreign languages differs from that of American-English. So, its better not to use translator for making changes to punctuation.
