Given your DiSC Preview personal profile and what you learned during Weeks THREE and FOUR, write a paper on how you plan to communicate differently with this individual that will result in better and more effective communication, both face to faceand in writing. DiSC behavioral assessment tool by Walter Vernon Clarke based on William Moulton Marston's DISC theory. DISC represents 4 different behavioral traits such as dominance, inducement, submission, and compliance are used to identify the individual's personality/behavior types - dominant, influential, steadiness, conscientiousness. Identifying behavioral types helps in determining particular individual's behavior in given environment and communication with other types of individuals within the group. Individuals may be with solid personality type which is high on particular type. Example: High D, high I, high S, high C. There may be combination of personality type like also.
If it is asked to provide adjectives to describe an individual whom considered as difficult to communicate with, then first option comes is individual who has High D score. This type is characterized as high on dominance. We can use adjectives as super-ordinate, assertive, controlling, aggressive. Let us examine these 4 adjectives to have a clear description of individual with High D score.
Adjectives to describe individual with high D score:
1. Assertive: The High D individual always ready to accept challenges and ready debate aggressively.
2. Super-ordinate or superior: This type of individual is directing and demanding in nature. They are very difficult to be handled if negative communication like reporting failures. They may be arrogant nature and may not be willing to accept explanations communicated.

They are predictable, stable, and consistent in their actions. Usually, these individuals give importance to stability at work or life. Individual of High S category fears changes. While communicating with these individuals, priority to be given to address them personally with affection. Clarity of communication should be given importance to ensure individuals feel stability and certainty.
Below are some points provided as to ensure better and effective communication between High S individual and other category individuals.
High S communicating with High D: Importance to bottom line to be given such as quality of the outcome, result, etc. High S must avoid going in depth about process and methods as High D may lose interest. Importance to accomplishments should be maintained throughout the communication by High S with High D, so that motivation to continue communication effectively will remain.
High S communicating with High I: Allow the High I individual to ask questions and gather information interactively rather communication process taking place as just one-way speech. The interactive communication avoids overloading High I individual with unnecessary details. Communication with appreciation to their previous achievements will result in good rapport and effective listening by High I individual.
High S communicating with High C: The individual with High C are quality conscious and respects intellectuals. Prime motivation of High C individuals lies with gaining good knowledge, delivery quality output, and avoiding any sub-standard output. Hence, while communicating with High C, the High S should provide required information in professional and objective manner. High S should avoid criticism, so that communication will go on in positive manner.
