Explanation / Answer

Operant conditioning is defined as the conditioning in which the target behavior is followed by reinforcement or punishment. This is done to either strengthen or weaken a target behavior. The learner will exhibit teh desired behavior in future due to this conditioning. It is a method that people use on daily basis to help change one's behavior.

Parents are key components for utilizing this method for trying to strengthen or weaken their children’s behavior based on the circumstances.
