1.Development during adolescence that applies to modern day adolescents, as well as those who lived centuries ago, is the fact that as kids grow in their adolescent phase of life they are likely to conform with parental influence as they form their own identities. They assert their autonomy more and more.
2.Although there might be general similarities, are there some differences that modern-day parents need to consider as well like; the fact that American adolescents and emerging adults in the 2010s (Millennials) are markedly less religious than their previous generations (Boomers, Generation X) when thy were of the same age (Jean ,2015).
3.The advice that I would give to a modern-day parent for relating to his or her teen, based on what you have learned is to communicate with the child and talk to him like a friend so that he or she opens up the doors of communication.
4.Since adolescence is a time of transition in every form it is a time of turmoil, identity formation, and peer pressure.
