Elctroconvulsive therapy(ECT):
ECT IS a medical treatment most commonly used in patient with severe depression or bipolar disorder that has not responded in other treatment like psychotherapy, medication.so it is used at extreme situation to recover mentally problem patient.it is regarded as shock treatment where small electrical current pass through the brain.Extensive reserarch has found ECT is highly effective for the relief of major depression.it is also used at bipolar disorder and schzophernia .
Psychosurgery:
Psychosurgery is also called neurosurgical for treatment of mental disorder.it is mainly distruct group of brain cell.it take pinpoint to stop suicidal depression, disable obsessive-compulsive disorder, cripple anxiety and controll dustrdistru behaiour.psychosurgery is collobration between psychitrist and neuro surgeon . Research highlighted that psychosurgery is not much effective.
Srength of ECT therapy:
1. ECT is fastest way to relieve symptoms in severally depressed and suicidal patient .
2. It also very effective for those who suffer in mania and mental illness for getting quick outcome and rapid response of treatment.
3. It is sometimes used in treating catatonia (a condition where people unresponsive) .
ECT weakness:
Though have several importants of ECT Therapy, it has also some risk factor and weakness.
1. ECT treatment has been associated with short term memory loss and difficulties in learning.some people have trouble remembering events which occurred in last week .long term memory gap also have found.

The most common side effects of ECT treatment including nausea , headache , fatigue , confusion and sight memory loss.
3. Not so good for long term treatment.
4. Ineffective as a treatment of scziphernia.
