1. Overall Appearance: consider the format, appearance, use of paper, use of fonts and font attributes (i.e., bold, italics, underline, type size, etc.). Is the résumé attractive, neat, easy to read, or do you get a sense of clutter, and impending eyestrain? Specify.
2. Length: Is it a one-page document? If so, is it easily one page, or did the preparer play around with margins, spacing, and font size to squeeze it all onto one page?
3. Content: Are all the standard parts included (e.g., name, address, phone #; objective; college - name, major, graduation date; jobs - company name, dates of employment, job duties; special aptitudes and skills {languages, computer skills, etc.}).
4. Objective: Is this a one-sentence summary of area of expertise and career interest? Is it too general (i.e., “A position that offers both a challenge and an opportunity for growth.”), or too specific (i.e., “A position as executive secretary to the vice president of marketing for First National Bank of Bula Bula)? Does it match the job ad?
b. Education: Is this the candidate’s stronger qualification? If so, is it prominently placed at the top, and right below the objective? Are all the main parts of this section included (title of degree, name of college, location, major, expected grad. date)? What credentials, if any, are included that set the candidate apart from the other applicants (e.g., GPA, Dean’s list, relevant courses)
c. Work Experience: Are only relevant jobs listed? Does each job include the employer (company name and location only), job title, employment dates, and a brief job description? Does the job description use active verbs, or does it use phrases such as “Responsible for...” or “Duties included...”?
5. Mechanics: Are there any mechanical errors: spelling/typographical, punctuation (where punctuation is used), etc.?
6. Suggestions: As the reviewer, what is it about this résumé that would prevent it from securing an interview for the candidate? In other words, how can the candidate improve the résumé to better any chance of getting an interview?

Overall Apprearance: The overall appearance of the resume is okay. It is a one page resume which is a plus. However, there is no use of bold fonts to highlight key achievements. This can make the resume ordinary to read, and the HR reading this resume might actually skip out on key achievements unless he/she goes through the entire resume in detail.
Length of the resume is correct. Generally, it is recommended for resumes to be one page long unless there are exceptions owing to vast experiences which cannot be accommodated in one page. Hence, this resume seems to do well in terms of length and formatting. The author has used a simple style to draft this resume.
Content: Since the top portion of the resume is clipped, I am assuming that the original resume had the name and the address of the applicant. The applicant has done well to include the relevant coursework, however, he has missed out on including the languages he speaks. This is an important part which can play a major role if a candidate is applying for a global position where multi-linguals might be given more preference, depending on the location.
Objective: The objective is reasonably specific, and the writer has done well not to make it too generic. He is specific about the post that he is applying for, and is also clear about his intentions and how he intends to perform in the role. Overall, the objective has been captured well
Education: This section does cover all the key details such as the GPA, the majors and the name of the institute. However, it misses out on the key highlights. For example, the applicant could have mentioned if he was on the top of any particular subject, or if he was in the top 10 of the class, or if he has any special extra curricular interests while in college. Any specific highlight could have been brought out well here, this seems to have been missed out.
Work Experience: This section not only includes the name of the company and the designation held, but also includes a brief JD. While this may not be relevant experience considering that the application is for that of a police officer, it does cover all the key points of the candidate's work experience. Most of the sentences have been constructed using active verbs.
Mechanics: There are some minor grammatical errors and tense mix ups. For example, under the work experience section, one sentence starts with "Working", while another sentence starts with "Work". There are also some punctuation errors: For example, there is a comma after "Expected Graduation". It should ideally be a ":" or a "-"
Suggestions: While the overall structure of the resume is okay, there is a need to make good use of bold and italic fonts to highlight key achievements, to run a hygiene check to ensure there are no punctuation errors and the language used is consistent across the resume, and also to check for overall consistency in formatting. Overall, a good resume with minor flaws which can be corrected.
