What are you initials thoughts related to the situation? In 2018, as a college student how does that make you feel? Or if you are a parent how does that make you feel?

Imagine you are the Dean of the University of Hartford and you have the responsibility of creating a community service project related to the incident. It is your job as the Dean to create unity among the students on campus. What type of community service project would you implement? How will it bridge the racial gap on campus? How will this community service project you implement provoke "Change" on campus?

My initial reaction is absoultely disgusted and shocked by he kind of behaviours high school and college students engage in.Everyday there are so many cases of bullyig,racism,body shaming etc. are brought into light and as a former student it still scares me beacuse the future is pretty dark related to these matters.Eveb after all those anti-bullying programs and claims made by universities and schools,still the students are not safe. Anyone can still face all these things and they do face,even worse than this.As parents and teachers,it is so important to spent time with teengaers since this is the most critical phase of development.An individual has various things going on about discovering their identities,their belief systems and just discovering themselves as a person. Parents need to develop friendly relations with their children so that they can talk openly and share anything with them without being judged.Also,not intruding but definitely keeping a check with whats happening in their child's personal life and university/school life as well. Being in constant touch with teachers is also important. The university teachers high time have realise their responsibilities towards the students and stop putting everything on just paper and not taking any action.Ignoring and putting blame on others is not going to help. Teachers and counselors,need to arrange meetings with each and every child of the university,to just talk to them.At this stage they just want to be heard and need support,they want to believe that people around them are understanding and helpful.
