Submitting assignments, course works and preparing for exams still stand as the biggest issues that make the students sweat and bring fear. One of the major reasons for this fear and anxiety is due to lack of preparation. Any plan, if it is meticulously planned can be executed without much difficulty. So, preparing a plan day wise, week wise and month wise and acting according to that would lead one to become more confident. The key is in planning as execution depends on following the plan. So, planning one’s time, energy and resources will lead one to success.
One of the most important things while preparing an oral or written presentation is to make notes on the topic. This could be then organized into possible sections or sub topics in order to prepare it coherently. Using a mind-map that would guide one through the presentation is also a good idea. Having enough notes on the topic would help one deliver whatever one had prepared on the topic and at the same time keep one on the track by presenting what has to be presented, thus eliminating the fear of missing something in the speech or presentation.
Finally, it’s really important to cite any author’s work, if one uses it. Crediting the authors while using their work will help one overcome plagiarism and present one’s original work. All the authors work hard to publish their works and one can’t just use them as one’s own without crediting the authors. So, citing others’ work inside the text and providing references at the back are really essential part of a good presentation. This way one could maintain academic honesty and integrity.
