The Zeitgeist of the time of Wundt, and who he was as a person, played an important part in the development of the New Psychology. Part of this development included using laboratories, experiments, the written word (i.e.journals) and the dissemination of information via the seat of learning, the University. Would the zeitgeist of today be such that a New Psychology Revolution could be started? Why or why not? A) Zeitgeist is derived from german word which means "spirit or essence of time".. In simple terms consider it as a trend which every soul on this planet are following. There is no doubt about that on today's zeigeist a NEW PSYCHOLOGY REVOLUTION could be started. For an example Today in this modern world its all about technology, gadgets etc. If we remove THESE TWO thing from our life even for a single day we would feel like suddenly the time has stopped, its not moving. We have become so dependent on on these things that we cant even begin to imagine our life without technology. If we watch todays generation closely their life is all about selfie, social media....These are all examples of developments in modern society that have influence of today’s psychology zietgiest.
Wilhelm wundt , today known as a founding figure of a modern psychology. He was the first person ever to call himself a psychologist. He played an important role in the developmennt of New psychology. He brought revoloution in the field of psychology, infact he was the first person who proposed psychology as a totally independent field of study. Wundt founded the first formal laboratory for psychological research at the University of Leipzig.
If i have to make people listen about this great leader than i would simply talk about him, make a informative documentory about his research and field and post on social media. As i said this generation is all about social media, so would most like watch it and learn about this great leader.
Millenial generation is term given to the people who are born betwee 1982-2000. Communication at that time was not as simple as today(thanks to mobile phone revolution). Public meetings, attending educational seminars, debates were more effective way to get the information communicated to the masses.
